javaエディター上で、エレメント（変数やメソッドなど）にカーソルを置いて、「編集」 - 「ツール・ヒント記述の表示」を選択すると、下図のように、そのエレメントの定義が表示されます。

定義がボックスに表示しきれない場合、スクロールバーが表示されて定義が見えるようになります。



ショートカットコマンドでは、

F2

と押すと同じ動作になります。
