JVMにパラメータを追加することによってガベージコレクションによるメモリの状況を表示することができます。
JVMにパラメータを追加するには、[ウィンドウ] - [設定]で以下の画面を開きます。

TomcatのJVMのパラメータの追加欄で -verbose:gc を追加します。

Tomcat再起動すると、以下のようにgc実行時にログが出力されるようになります。
左からメモリ使用量のbefore、gc実行後のメモリ使用量、括弧内はメモリの空き容量となります。
