countif
countifは、第一引数で指定したセル範囲内に第二引数で指定した文字列が存在する場合カウントする関数です。
存在しない場合は0になります。
下図は、「C7」セルにcountif関数を使用しています。

カウントする対象セルはC6～E6までで、この範囲内に○が存在する場合、カウントされていきます。

このとき、セル「D6」の●は、○とは違うのでカウントされません。
よって、countif関数の結果は2となります。
